new update wont let me connect to any servers

after the update, i tried goin to some other servers to play for a while til ours were back up, but dod kept closing and saying "could not allocate server ip port" or something like that. how do i fix this? i wanna go back on strand T.T

EDIT: also, servers do not show up when i look for them ingame. i hav to look in the external server list, u know the one on the steam menu. and if i try to connect to the servers that show up on the steam menu list, then the could not allocate server ip port thing comes up

I can't get in either. When I hit Find Servers, it comes back "No internet games responded to the query" Started right after I downloaded the "upgrade." Help!

lol i had my hopes up. i thought someone posted with an answer ._. ima delete dod until an answer comes up cuz the new update lagged up my comp really bad. its always using 100% of its power to do little things ._. and it still lags. anyways someone plz help me so i can come back >.>

Hey guys - I was reading an article on tech support and it said to remove all instances of hl.exe, hl2.exe, steaminstall.exe, steam.exe and steamtmp.exe from your windows firewall (found in your control panel under network/internet connections). I did that and then restarted my computer. The firewall has to re-recognize steam. I tried it and it actually worked. I can now play Dod, though it does seem to need some tweaking due to slower speed than the old Dod. Hope this helps......... Dave

id like to try it but im too lazy to reinstall dod lol. unless theres a fool proof way i dont wanna reinstall cuz it somehow lagged my computer up so bad. im content with playing css zombie mod for now, tho i do miss the organization and smart ppl T.T sayonara for now

hmm...I'm not a DoD player so it's hard for me to know...I'm afraid I don't have a solution right now. I'll let you know if I come up with anything but for now may want to check the Steam forums or something.

Ripley, use the server browser located in Steam.
Shoot Here, try checking your firewall settings in case it is blocking DoD from running.

I personally did get any problems from the update so I can't help much, sorry
