Okay, when I try to connect to our DOD DAM strand server, for example, this comes up:

Disconnected: Invalid STEAM UserID Ticket

I'm at a loss for what to do besides buying a $300 new gamecard, which is really gay.


HELP!

My driver is NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT

Version: 6.14.10.8421

I go the page that Steam says will tell me what to update to, and they tell me: We don't know!

I'm gonna wait this out a lil and hope someone tells me what to do if I can do anything to help myself. I just hate being a guinea pig for massive updates all for the sake of releasing it on, dun dun dun, JULY 4th!

This is unnecessary. Walk us through the things you have tried, please.
 
sorry to intrude but since alot of our members have the same issue maybe you should post how you fixed it.
 
I get the Invalid Steam Ticket once a month or so, I believe it comes from leaving Steam running 24/7 but that's an untested hypothesis.

I Logout of Steam, Close Steam, give it a couple of minutes (go get a drink, whatever), then fire it back up. I've not had it continue after doing this until I've left it running for several more weeks

Well I just shut steam down, deleted the 3 files
Steam.dll
SteamUI.dll
ClientRegistry.Blob &
went to hop on strand & got the same thing invalid steam user ID crap 1st thing!
omg!
