Laptop processor question

I was wondering if the first processor listed is worth paying 80$ more then the 2nd one.

This is for a gaming laptop that will run 64 bit vista and 4gb ram, and a GeForce 8600 512mb. Im trying to cut costs, but still have good performance. Will I notice the difference with the 3 mb cache difference?

It depends on your view of buying gear.

I always by the latest and greatest thing last month. I mean, I would buy the T8300 since the T9300 came out.

But that is because I have a wife that beats me when she gets my credit card bills.

I was looking at that with the above mentioned processors, the 200gb 7200 HD, and 64 bit vista.

I have a t7700, which is older than either of those, but approximately the same specifications, and dont really run into any problems with gaming.

well the 2.5 is faster and has twice the cache on board, so it could help on some games and not make a noticeable difference on others

thats the cpu i plan on getting with my laptop im hoping to buy from them real soon

as for you JohnT, i think its time you cut the credit cards up

I have to agree with JohnT - I think past a certain point the cost of new tech isn't worth the extra performance. Save the $80.
