Would shooting through a grate be considered Exploiting?

On 2Fort, I usually play as a pyro. However, sometimes, when the enemy team has a camping demo/sentry up on the grate right above the entrance, I stand slightly underneat it and shoot upwards to destroy it.

Is this considered cheating?

No. You're not actually shooting THROUGH the grate, it's a ledge/corner shot and is a common legit tactic with a pyro. An instance where it is an exploit is if you are shooting through a solid barrier that no other fire can pass through.
