Counter-Strike Remove text that says who won guntoss

Whenever a guntoss LR happens and both sides throw their gun, it always says in chat who "won" but it doesn't take into account if your throwing into a corner, or if somebody throws their gun off the edge. I've been freekilled many time from a CT who thinks they have won just because they saw that message pop up in chat, which for new ct's they have no reason to not believe it. Just now I was stuck in solitary on Clouds so I said furthest into the corner, I got mine closer in the corner but his went further the direction we were throwing so in chat it said he won and he killed me. Overall it just causes more confusion then it causes good.

Pretty sure the "who won" message is only shown once one of the participants is killed, i.e. the survivor.

Could you double check the behavior you've described is occurring?

I'm under the same impression as well, it just describes the person who was killed in the LR after they're already dead.
