StarWars KoToR I & II menu problem

Hey guys, I know it's a little out of eGO's specialty but I've just recently decided to play through KoToR I & II. After Installing them I found that the game said I met the minimum Requirments but not the recomended, which I found wierd considering I can run Bioshock on max settings. But anyway, I launched the game only to find the menu text is completely unreadable. I have the exact same problem with both games. I had a similar problem with Doom 3 but that was remedied simply by bumping down the textures from Ultra High to high, but this didn't fix the problem here. I haven't had this problem with any other games though.

I have the original KOTOR and believe me the game is cool, the coding is crap! Your best bet is to reinstall (Yikes, I know).

i would have though KOTOR would run fine on that - only thing i can say is double your ram? you're only running with a gig, and while that SHOULD be enough for that game, you're really better off with 2. however, that really shouldn't keep you from running the game properly.

when you reinstalled, did you UNINSTALL first and then remove all folders before trying to reinstall? maybe there are some residual files lying around each time you reinstall which is causing the same error each time.

According to this post, it's a driver problem, or seems to point to that. Are you using nonstandard or outdated drivers? Also, check your version of DirectX to make sure it's up-to-date.

Yeah I was finding alot that said it had to do with my graphics card or DX. So I'll search for an update.

Yup I guess I needed to update.
Weird though, I updated just a short time ago. Well anyway thanks for all the help guys!
