IIRC, a 650W (From a company like Corsair or PCP&C) will be just right. 700-750 just to be sure.

I've got a PC Power and Cooling 750W with two 8800GTS and an oc'd Q6600 working fine. Corsair also has a 750W that is very similar in performance, if you prefer Corsair.
650W would probably work, but might be pushing it, especially if you add the 4870. (Can Crossfire do different types of cards nowadays?)

Most people say that you need to stick EXACTLY to the Nvidia standards for power supplies. I used to run fans, mobo, 8800 GTS overclocked, and 2.4 quad core overclocked to 2.9GHz on an antec 350Watt power supply. Really the first thing you need to look at is the connectors. If you get a power supply that is too small then you wont have the connectors you need. I think you would be riskin it with a 650 but an 800 Watt would be plenty. 1000 if you have the cash. i just replaced the guts of a 650watt blown modular 'ultra' PSU with that of a lesser no-name 450watt, i snipped a few wires, made the correct connections with solder and electrical tape, and now i have another modular power supply that lights up green and its really pretty=)
the 450 watt only had 5 molex connectors, this is PART of the reason i modded the modular output in the 650 watt ultra, (the other reason is the ultra PSU modular had shielded cables that were wrapped in green plastic, and it improves airflow / looks alot better)..
so now i have 6 molex connections on the back of the PSU (3 of the modular cables have 2 molex connecters per strand, the other 3 have only 1.) i have 3 of the dual molex hooked up, and a single one for my video card, =) (thats almost twice as much drawing from the 12v rail as my maximum according to what was provided with the 450watt.) and it works perfectly.

of course i could have bought another one for 80 bucks, but hey! it wouldnt be as fun that way...

yeah Ive had to take out the ol' wire cutters a time or two also but its always better when you don't have to cut things up. That ruins warranties and makes the computer dangerous.

yeah i guess i should have mentioned,
POWER SUPPLIES CAN KILL YOU!! DONT OPEN IT unless you know what your doing!
i took 4 years of AC/DC circuits, and im qualified to work on these big capacitors in the power supply, if you short one of those fully loaded capacitors, it may actually kill you, (36amps is alot... and newer power supplies are running with much more than that inside the inner workings) somewhere on the order of .5 amps can kill you, so 36 amps can kill you 72 times.....
lol.. anyway, if you properly discharge the capacitors before working, (and you unplug the power supply...
) you should be ok....
i have a hard time paying 80 dollars for something i can fix with a 3 dollar cap, or a 50 cent diode from Shields...
BTW-- dont buy electrical components from radioshack...please....
its just gonna fail on you, and they are overpriced
