Well I got my 4850! (After a few trial and errors as you can see in tech help)
I came from an 8800GTS which WAS good for about a couple weeks then all the new 9 series came out and more demanding games as well so I thought it was time for an upgrade. For a single slot card and the price ($200) its amazing. I can now run all games on all high (even Crysis o_O)
Its a pretty bangin card and I'm happy I got it working :)

From the tech help thread: CS:S on my 8800 all high with AA and anisotropic filtering at 4 I got anywhere from 60 - 90 frames.
On this card at everything on high, x8 AA and x16 anisotropic filtering I get 100 - 200 frames.

Oh yeah and I know you want to hear Crysis, well on all high, 1400x1050, x4 AA I got 30 - 50 Frames
On my 8800 I could have the game on high - medium settings on a low res and it would be laggy so yeah, a bit of a difference

Congrats Wall-e! I am SLI'ing two GTS's (G80 versions) for the first time and I hope to get half your results.

Bioshock runs awesome on them at everything high and at 1600 x 1050 res, no AA. AA eats up memory and processing power like crazy and with these cards being at least 2 years outta date, I ain't going to turn them into doorstops, for the want of it.
