Stuttering and such

As of recent when I play I am getting that stuttering affect. Its like my frame rate drops for just a second and then continues smooth. Problem did not exist 2 weeks ago so after reading some of the forums here decided to try to optimize my system.
I defragged, ran a scan disk eliminated whatever startup things i didnt really need and ran the steam cache, defrag thing made sure nothing unwanted was on my hard drive by using norton ad-aware etc and doing full scans etc.
At this point I wanted to go ahead and run a REG cleaner. I am curious as to a good one to purchase without breaking the bank. I know there are free ones, but most of those will find things to eliminate but to clean em up you have to purchase it. Paying for it I dont mind at all, I just want to know I am getting a good product before I purchase it. So if any of you guys Know a good reg cleaner and could tell me I would greatly appreciate it cause this stuttering in ruining my fun and just killing my K/D ratio (pun intended) Also any other optimizations I can do that were not already mentioned in some forums here or that I have not done yet please do not hesitate to reccomend anything.

Another thing, do you have a wireless card connected to a wireless access point?

Like I mentioned earlier two or three weeks ago I had no problems
i do have a slow hard drive creating a bottleneck and wonder if its finally going out having to work to hard

It comes with a registry cleaner.

It could also be driver issues. Everytime I've had stuttering in-game it's come back to drivers. Update them for your graphics card, MOBO, and sound card and see if that helps. It could just be that one of them got messed up somehow by the cleaning process.
Also, be sure that you exit the antivirus software before going into a game. Some antivirus software takes a ton of system overhead, and will cause stuttering.

Did you install any new software before it started happening karbine? Sounds to me like something else running in the background kicking in occasionally. How often does it happen, any pattern to it?

yeah i say get some spyware killers. It does sound like you have background tasks fighting your game processes.

Try getting:

Spybot Search and Destroy
SuperAntiSpyware Professional(get the trial version)
Windows Defender(yeah no explanation needed i hope)

Also, if you want a good disk defragger, look for a free version of:

I did all the spy scans norton scans an such. I have a second computer (wifes) with all that software on it so i just disconnect my harddrive and use the other computer to do all my spy ware scans an such so I dont even have them on the system I use for work or gaming.
I did use the Auslogics though last night and actually got a little better performance over all since i posted this problem. Mobo I havent checked to see if any newer drivers exsist and will do that. I am always nervous about messing with my Mobo (maybe a bad flash memory experience from years ago). Gunning that is one thing I was wondering is if something in the background was coming on that I am not aware of. I have auto updates on anything I could turned off and before I log on to game I shut down any processes I dont need. Well I am gonna recheck all my drivers and check my mobo driver as well. I really do appreciate all the people who jumped in here to help me. Really nice of you guys to take the time to read my situation and post some helpful suggestions. I will update to let you know how it works out
