Source Games Crash

I have been having a problem that when ever I join a game through a Hl2 based game (DM, CS:S ect) that it crashes when it displays the servers "Welcome Banner". Has anyone else had this problem? Any tips how to solve it without re-installing steam? Thanks!

my tf2 game use to do that try going into your games list, right click cs:s go to properties set launch options and put in -autoconfig, also try lowering the video settings for the game, that also helps

Ok, thanks! I shouldn't have any problems with the graphics because I can run TF2 on High and 16 QSAA Antialiasing And 16X Anistophic at 1440X900 at 60fps rate cap. But Ill try the auto config and post my results
