What are you talking about? OCZ, Patriot, Corsair, etc, they all make 2gb sticks of pc2-6400 now.....come on man....get with it!

where you looking at tomshardware.com or some where cause the place i buy it from online has everything and they dont sell 2gig strips yet but then again it probably costs what 200, 300 or 400$ a strip?
 
i just built my comp about a month and a half ago=) its

2.8ghz 64 fx-62 amd = leet
2 gb of ram... no 8gb of ram lol i whish (i didnt know vista could do that... mabey thats the only good thing vista can do... ROFL)
512mb 7950 vid card... need another one soon for sli
250gb sata hdd
asus crosshair series mobo
and a 20 inch wide screen acer

well thats it... i built it so its pretty well upgradeable...

alienwares are not bad, but i personally could build a cheaper comp for the prices they have.

Thats a pretty sweet rig,to be honest i'd stick with the current card you've got now and not bother SLI ing it,you should save up for a good DX10 card down the road.

Although not to start an argument but AMD and leet anymore,Core 2 beats it by a country mile.
 
I'm not, I have a custom built rig (build all my own machines)

- 2 gigs ddr 400 RAM
- AMD X2 4800+
- 300 gig HDD sata
- 500 gig external HDD for backups/storage
- Geforce 8800 GTX
- DFI Lanparty Expert moboard

Alienware has nice machines, but they are about 40% too expensive. Find a friend that can build you one for much cheaper.
 
yeah nice stats and im not running ram off flash drives i have two 512mb sticks, it was about 2500
 
I'd like to see the motherboard of a computer that supports 128Gb of RAM...

Building your own is the way to go...saves you money, and you get exactly what you want.

400Gb, I know many people can use that. The comp I'm on is just for games, and nothing else so I just have 2x 80GB Hard drives in RAID 0. But I have another Media Center Comp with 250GB just for pictures and media.

Not bad I would say...but IMO it's better to build your own.
