Glossy Screen

I am looking for a 19'' lcd or bigger with the glossy screen. I see them on laptopn but have not seen any lcd with them. Also do you have any problems playing tf2 or dodsource with a wide screen?

I don't know about a glossy screen, but as for your other questions: all source engine games have native widescreen support. You will have no problem getting them to work.

go to any futureshop, bestbuy or similar store and they have several models hooked up for you to view. You should not have any problem finding one.

i use a 19" widescreen glossy as my main monitor, and i love it. the glossy screen shows great blacks and very rich colors. as long as you don't have a lot of ambient light in the room, you should be fine

i still say get the pg221 its got the glossy screen your looking for and more and if you have a speaker system you dont NEED the speakers/sub but it looks awesome, awesome stand SUPER sturdy its got a webcam and its a good one not crappy its got presets for sound like gaming, music, theater (movies ect ect) and a few more it cannot be wallmounted :\ but its better i think and its a wee bit more expensive but you will not regret it it also has 3 usb ports can support vga, dvi, composit and componet cables only plug missing is HDMI but it can do 1080p witch its awesome and if you play xbox you can have it hooked up on your monitor at the same freeken time its AWESOME but like trykael said "he glossy screen shows great blacks and very rich colors. as long as you don't have a lot of ambient light in the room, you should be fine" i cant say enuf about the ASUS pg221 man you just have to look into it BUT remeber what you get is ultimatly your chioce im just tossing you ideas and you may say but this moniter has 20,000:1 contrast ratio and that one only has 1000:1 right well i say it dont matter my buddy has the one your looken at and then he tryed mine and was like **** i wish i got that monitor over this one and he wanted to trade me it was that cool lol like i said before i cant say enuf about it lol but once again what you get is ultimatly your chioce and yes i know i blabed on lol. o look its also got a 100$ rebate

This is the one I am looking at buying.

I would definitely recommend this screen. I use two of them side by side for my desktop and another off to the corner hooked to my laptop and server. I have had no problems with it and everything runs smoothly and looks amazing.

Glossy FTL. Just my opinion. Nice looking, but reflects too much, unless you're using it in a dark room, but then what's the point of having a glossy LCD! I do like the ones that have the glossy black around the edges, but not over the main screen.

You have no idea how jealous of you I am to see that you have the PG 221...
I'm not sure I want to know how much that set you back...

cost me with shipping/handling 500$ BUT i had a 100$ rebate and i only paid 250 for it my brother paid 150 as a -gift and mom got the rebate and i also getting Tritton 5.1 headphones lol should be hear any day but as for the monitor the reason shipping was so much (70$) was cause it went from Texas to Fort St John B.C witch is international also it went is OVER 2200 miles lol arrived with nothing wrong

yes it sounds good its not as good as a 2.1 speaker setup but it still sounds nice AWESOME for space saving so if you using the speakers just for like gameing and a wee bit of tunes its not bad the sound quality is good ummm good review about it

ALSO on another note i got my tritton`s have not used em still waiting on my sound card so ye
