Where did the eGO forum sig template come from?

I'm curious; I noticed a pattern emerging in eGO sig images; a pattern that I have emulated. For example:

Funny quote: Continue with the crying Dummkophs!
Name: =(e)= AutoDMC =[Ga]=
Tagline: Spy sappin' my sanity.

The pattern is Funny Quote, Name, Tagline, for about 80% of the sig images here.

I was just wondering how this particular pattern emerged; did it just spontaneously happen, and who had the first?
 
I'm not sure. I think it's coincidence. I don't know if mine has it that way. I'll check as soon as I post this message. Good observation though.
 
At first, I thought it was coincidence as well... but even the formatting is similar. The Funny Quote is big, and references the image. The name is usually smaller than the quote, and under it. And the tagline is usually under the name... and most of the time, the tagline uses the name as part of the sentence:

Funny Quote: Good Night, Irene!
Name: =(e)= Cute Engie
Tagline: likes distracting spies.

The name is part of the tagline.

It may be coincidence, but I personally like the format, have seen it all around, am emulating it, and wondered if it was just something spontaneous, or something more sinister.
 
Wow I just realized I spelled my name wrong in my sig. It's been this way for like a month. I feel stupid now.

I choose to believe it's council that decided this will be the format and if anybody doesn't follow it they won't be promoted. :P

I thought you weren't allowed to post that, it was just eG and up. That's what it said in the original thread on the old .us site.
 
That was nearly a year ago. Besides, if Dominion had a problem with it he'd remove it. So, we'll see what happens.
 
I never really noticed it, as I always create my sigs on my own I never know there was a template...
