1. map size - WWII battles took place in large areas most of the time and there was more room to flank your enemy
2. Objectives - there is more to real war then capturing flags, i really like what the guys did with the strand map and the time limit, there should be more maps like that.
3. Teamwork - Eisinhower is rolling over in his grave becasue of the lack of teamwork people have in DoD, there are too many lone wolfs and people dont seem to stick together.
4. Damage - i would like to start off by disagreeing with the people that said that if u get shot in the arm or waist you die, most people (and this has been studied) dont even realize they have been shot in battle and die from lack of blood.
5 Tacitcs- there isnt alot of this in DoD, squad flank manuevers, covering fire... people just shoot to kill, the most tactical thing about the game is smoke grenades,
6. weapons - if this was real alot more people would have the carbine and most would have the m1 officers would have the thompson and some people would have a BAR
7. Rifles - If someone asks you if you would rather get shot by the m1 garand or the k98 and you say m1 because it gives 80 dmg, you play DoD. In real lfe a shot to the chest with either of these is bad news
8. Intel - players know to much about the map from playing it so often and sometimes wait for a person to pop up in a certain spot, such as a sniping window
9. Offense, Defense - ususally one side is fighting to defend an area that they already have, like on strand, but in DoD the teams fight over nuetral towns? someone had to have been controling it before the allies, or axis came marching in to take it.
10. Fear - noone is afraid of dying in a video game, so people take risks that they wouldnt usually do in real life (running across an mgs path when they know it is there)
sorry this is so long
