Does eGo compete?

Agreed, we really don't need to compete with other clans, because well for one it might cause some hatred in the clan which does not go good in the forums when someone rants about how that sniper hax0red. We simply don't need to go there.

Match games would be awesome, I've been looking for this for a long while. If anyones interested in making a team I would be down for scheduled matches.

Althougth we don't have a team atm i really wish we did. For all those saying all the negatives, no one would force you to play, and I've played many clans over the years, was offered into a pro team once (didn't have to time though) and i love a good bit of competition. Randoming on ego is great, but some of the more frequent or skilled players like to have a challenge once in a while, rather than just dominating some people who only play every other week. Also i find large 2fort or large dustbowl matches much more fustrating than clan matches, as in a large map you get get killed by sheer fulke because of the sheer amount of wall of players on each side.

Also it would premote the ego name, if we had a good team in the competative team with sponsers as well, we could further advertise the ego clan and its ethos. I don't think its fair to say "would should have a clan because i get to ariated and get angry at other people in competative play so everyone will, therefore no one can" which almost seems the message from some of you!

Everyone says the negatives but don't seem to think about the positives or how it can be handled.

You have donaters. They technically do more for the clan than anyone else in it besides the leaders. Yet there is no animosity or elitism from them because they are not "really" treated as anything special besides receiving items and getting a "thanks", even though they help keep the clan alive. The key to a competitive team in this type of clan is making sure that the competitive team is not treated special in any way and they just get a "thanks and good job!" for putting the name of the clan out there.

Competitive play is highly fun and beneficial when handled correctly, it can be the best type of advertisement there is in online gaming, but the key is making sure it is handled in a correct, responsible, mature way with the case of a mature clan like this.

I could go either way. it would be fun to compete but i am having a blast just doing our inter-clan scrims and events.

Well once the Cal Seasons opens up we can all get together on vent and start a team and then just ask an adviser if we can put "eGO" in it and if not, who cares we'll name it something else. We can make a team and eGO can have almost nothing to do with it

Guys, just don't involve eGO in it. We've got trouble about this topic once already and I don't think council is just going to say yes now. Do it, if you want aslong as eGO has NOTHING to do with that.

i think it would ruin the fun of playing together with friends cuz you would always feel the urge to compete, but thats just my opinion

So pro football, pro hockey, pro baseball isn't about fun and doing what you love either then i guess.

Ok, this has gone a little far.

Obviously, the initial answer has been answered: TF2 doesn't compete.

If you wish to create your own CAL, TWL, or CEVO team, that's fine. As long as it is not affiliated with eGO, which means you must remove tag when you are competing.

Can we get a lock on this?

We have inter eGO scrims only no cal teams no leagues. It would wind up creating to many problems. We have been down this road before and not willing to travel it again.
