Ok so recently Tf2 has just been shutting down on me, the error says its because or low memory, but this just started recently and has never happened until last week and i haven't made any changes to my hardware.

Recently however i deleted my anti virus stuff because it had expired and was being useless and annoying :S,

hers a pic of the error(down)

Help me :'( lol this has gotten quite annoying, getting kicked out of full servers and loosing my spot, getting kicked while admining, and getting kicked before i can get a con dump -.-

Thanx for any help you can provide

Try quitting some programs before you run TF2,Another problem could be because you need more RAM,You could also try increasing the size of your paging file (virtual memory) size doing this can help prevent low memory problems, it can also make your programs run more slowly

Because your computer reads information from RAM much faster than from a hard disk (where the paging file is), making too much virtual memory available to programs will slow them down.

Here is how to change your virtual memory size seeing as how I'm too lazy to post all the instructions that I remember from class here is a quote.

If you receive warnings that your virtual memory is low, you'll need to increase the minimum size of your paging file. Windows sets the initial minimum size of the paging file at the amount of random access memory (RAM) installed on your computer plus 300 megabytes (MB), and the maximum size at 3 times the amount of RAM installed on your computer. If you see warnings at these recommended levels, then increase the minimum and maximum sizes.
1.
Open System by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking System.
2.
In the left pane, click Advanced system settings. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3.
On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.
4.
Click the Advanced tab, and then, under Virtual memory, click Change.
5.
Clear the Automatically manage paging file size for all drives check box.
6.
Under Drive [Volume Label], click the drive that contains the paging file you want to change.
7.
Click Custom size, type a new size in megabytes in the Initial size (MB) or Maximum size (MB) box, click Set, and then click OK.
Increases in size usually don't require a restart, but if you decrease the size, you'll need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect. We recommend that you don't disable or delete the paging file.

hmm...i have 2 gigs of ram but the reason this is wierd is that i used to be able to watch movies while playing and now it just stps working :S ill try the page file thing

make sure other programs are not running like Skype, MSN messenger, AIM, limewire and so on
and if that doesnt help u dont have enough memory and then u go back to XP cuz u have vista right?

Do you still have 2 GB of memory? It would be under System Properties in XP (shortcut Windoze Key + Break) but I don't know where it is in Vista. If it only shows one GB one of your DIMM's has popped loose or has gone tango uniform.

I know Vista is a memory hog. 2 GB is plenty for XP but maybe not for games under Vista. If you don't have a page file as the previous posters said, this could be your problem.
