High Ping?!

Something is wrong i have high ping on EdgeGamer servers. Nothing is running but the game. I live on the east coast and have a ping of 247 on egdgegamer server when the normal is 40-50Please help me

Stop all downloads and get out of all programs you dont need...

Also, the servers are located in texas, so there is a lot of distance between you and eGO.

try console codes. I use: "rate 25000" "cl_cmdrate 66" and "cl_updaterate 30"

It could just be your ISP. I know that I have a very unstable connection with mine and I can go for days with a ping below 100 and then have it shoot up to well over 500 and create unbelievable lag.
