Graphics card confusion

Hey guys whats goin on.

I'm having a couple problems with my new Geforce 7600 GS, I threw it in and everything was working fine videos and cinematics work great, but when I get into a game I get some weird polygon stuff, like black triangles popping up in different places.

I downloaded a new driver for it so thats not the problem and my computer easily meets the requirements for the card so I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to fix it.

Is it one particular game or is it all games?

It only seems to be 1 game (the game I got the new card for), Gothic 3. So I think I might just contact them if no one has any suggestions.

Hmm, the 7600 isnt too powerful of a card, but im no sure how Gothic is graphic demanding wise...but it sounds like an overheating issue to me

make sure you have the latest drivers installed and this may resolve it and as dye said ensure you have good cooling, even adding a $10 fan or 2 can work amazingly well

yeah everything with the card is working fine, apparently the game designers didnt feel like supporting the 7600 chip set or something and a patch will be out for it later >.<

The reason why I got the 7600 was because I'm stuck with an AGP and I don't have the money, being in university, to buy a whole new motherboard.

AGP died a long time ago. It's time for an upgrade.

ummm maybe its ur game and not ur video card
have u tried reinstalling and all that stuff?
if u have and its still there then try installing from a diff CD
if its still there then yea ur video card isnt supporting that particular game
