Shall I burn my Gfx Card?

heres the deal, i was on the EGO strand DOD:S server, and i needed help with my card, a Nvidia Geforce 8400 GS, now my friend clark, posting on this forum is this card a good one? ( his post http://www.edgegamers.org/forums/showthread.php?t=60566&highlight=geforce+8400) Well, I'm getting NO MORE THAN 10 FPS!!! and i searched everything, VGA, Vsync, reinstalled all my drivers, reinstalled 3 times the card drivers, on the Nvidia control panel all the settings are on Performance. And on a last note, i know this isn't a gaming card, I'm expecting on High settings, at least 30 FPS

My specs:

-HP Pavilion a320n
- AMD Athlon 2.08 Ghz
- 702 MB RAM (2x 512mb)
-Nvidia Geforce 8400 GS

i think the video card is already fried. May i suggest you fry it more with a torch or some sort of high intensity flame device

At OP, yeah you should kind of upgrade. A newer video card wouldn't hurt. Go for a 8600GTS or GT, they're really cheap now on Newegg.

In all seriousness, no, you may not be able to run everything on high an it also depends on the resolution you are running at, although 10fps does sound a bit low...

on my old 8400gs, i ran from 35-45 on max settings without aa or msaa. your video card was either fried or old, because mine was evga's video card... Did you update it?
