Call of duty 4

I bought the Game call of duty 4 in the shop and i installed it on the computer, but it's only installed on the computer and not on steam ...Is there a way to put it on Steam ???

Go into my steam games, click add non-steam game.

You can put it in Steam and use the Steam Community overlay, Tipsy covered that one. As for automatic patches and No-CD play, you would have to have purchased it through Steam.

So, u mean it doesn t matter if u buy it in a shop or on steam

Well you can get a no cd for singleplayer, multiplayer doesnt need the cd

If you installed from a CD you still need the CD to start up multiplay but then it isn't used after that.

I just installed it today, upgraded to 1.7 and never asked for the cd...

Call of Duty 4 multiplayer does not require the CD. Single player does. Though in general, if you want any of the perks of Steam, including: No-CD, auto patching, downloading the game at any time, etc, you must buy it off of Steam. There are only a few games out there that you can buy on CD and register with Steam, mainly Valve games.

you guys are missing a point here. If you buy it from the store you always have a hard copy, so if steam is down or you lose internet connection you can still play the game.

if you really would like to play without the CD just buy the game from a retail store, then go online and download a no cd crack, its not illegal.
