Canadian Lag

Laggy on our servers for canadians today! probably an ISP issue any canadians experiencing this?

What kind of lag are you experiencing? I'm in overall not lagging, just got a few spikes today where my mouse wouldn't move and game would keep freezing but it only lasted few minutes.

P.S. I live in Quebec !

Did you not hear? Canadian internet providers are purposely slowing down their internet to stop peer to peer file sharing. (BitTorrent as an example)

Slowing of filesharing would or at least should not affect gameplay.

At least your ISP in Canada would have the excuse of being over 1k+ miles from eGO servers. I play with spikes 100% of the time and I'm less than 500 miles from the servers.

I frequent this server and usually get around 50-60 ping but other Canadians are having problems I guess

ya my internet has been crap lately, but then again im on shared wireless so its always crap. Tornto, Ontario here

As much as I ABHOR my ISP, I almost never get lag in TF2 unless someone is streaming video on my laptop. I'm in Toronto.
