Unless he is denying it so that we will think it's actually the update when it's actually not, so we are still surprised in the end! Or maybe he doesn't even work for Valve and the whole staff has been replaced by human-look-a-like aliens who are bent on releasing the demoman update to throw everyone off!

The suspense is killing me!
I still think its the scout update though and not the spy, sorry.
 
I can't wait for an explanation of all this, it's funny how Valve fans react to everything, and we wait for sooooo long just for little things like this.

VALVE IS SOOOOO AWESOME.
 
I knew it wasn't the spy update, and since they're running behind with the Team Fortress 2 updates *Cough*L4D*Cough* I would imagine that the website may indeed look a bit rushed.

Good thing we have offical word that this is infact, not a spy update.

Seriously even before the tiny little evidence what makes you think that the scout and spy had anything related. Nothing except for "OH MY GAWD THEY BOATH 5tRTS WITH THE S IN NAM3s~!~A".

The scout and spy are not counter classes to each other. If you really want to look foward to a spy update I recommend getting suspicious WHEN the sniper update comes out. THEN MAYBE MAAAAAYBE it will be a spy update in disguise of a sniper update.

I was never sold on it being the spy update, but it was kinda cool to consider. So what if lots of people jumped on a conspiracy bandwagon? It actually works out for valve's favor because now there is so much hype and anticipation for the update.

or, they could just be saying that to throw the unsuspecting horde of engineers off while they set up for massive scout killing. ;)

Sorry I was not paying attention until someone said demoman update.

So the scout update is not really the spy update but the demoman update. And it is being made by aliens. Got it.
