Or you buy a good computer crank up the graphics to max and still get 300fps? The game came out in 2004 you really shouldn't need to drop the graphics.

I imagine you mean 300+fps in the Stress test?

Also does anyone know if the -heapsize 300000 command still does much of anything?

Thanks

that's probably what i need to do. I have a Sony Vaio that is about 4 years old. I upgraded the graphics card to a 7800 a few years back but that is all i have done. I average from 30-50 fps at best. I still do pretty good but know i would do better with a new rig

Is this your official disclaimer??
how about telling everyone how to change your settings back to default?

Before you do any of that....

*save your default config. Folder in notepad, or microsoft word. then, and only then, delete your config. Folder and replace it with the new stuff. This way you have a back up copy in case you want to go back to your original!

haha ive tried tweaking the settings in my console one time...and i felt like it made me play worse and it got me killed more easier...and yeah i just think u should just get a better computer and just keep trhowing in better parts in ure comp...better video card...more ram...and possibly a new mother board blah blah blah...i added 1 more gig of ram into my comp jsut recently im at 2 gigs right now lol i used to have 1 gig in and yes i have a very very old compy! ...HP compaq presario hahahah! but yeah hahah it seemed to help me a lil better...gameplay for me is a lil more smoother and i got a GEforce 7 series in my comp
