I start the computer up and it won't load past bios. I then go into bios and exit out and it loads Windows Vista up and stops 1/4 through the load bar and just stops. I then turn it off and restart the computer and it loads everything fine. HD's are 320 Seagates about 2-3 years old now. Would this be an issue saying that the HD's might crash? It's an odd problem

Definitely, you can get a copy of a vista repair disc online or you can use your install disc and just boot to it.

also if you use vista, there is a problem updating if you just did and update it reformatted ur hard drive to be unreable that could cause your computer not to start up i had that same problem if that is the case you need those drives to be reimaged :( hope this isnt the problem

Ok computer starts, bios screen stays on first boot have to hit delete to bring bios, exit and then the hang up on first boot bar of windows vista, so i have to hit the powersupply to turn off then it reboots like normal asking me how to boot into windows which i pick normal and then it's usually alright but i do get an odd hang up in Firefox like when i was writing this post it crashed on me the first time. The HD's are a bit old i thought they were crapped out before but the computer tech place checked them and said they were good. Probably just have to buy some new ones, maybe some of the new Raptor 300 GB drives maybe

i refer you to this post. its all about virus scanners and what. If its just freezing every so often in firefox now those should help.
