Yes yes, I know my enthusiasm is personal, but now, the long awaited GRAMMAR EVENT is going to begin forming in my head.

Seeing as how the main purpose of the event will be improvement of whoever would like to participate's grammar, I'm going to begin taking suggestions. So write, write, and write away about what you would like help with improving.

And seeing as how grammar improvement for our members does not need to be extremely detailed, I've decided I would add a spelling portion as well.

Any and all relevant suggestions will be taken into deep consideration, and if I use your idea, I'll give you more "strikes" during the event.

Sidenote: I'm not a grammar expert (or spelling, for that matter). I say this now in case I make a horrid mistake. However, I do believe I am capable of teaching tidbits that will help our members appear more professional.

2nd Sidenote: Ignore whatever mistakes are in the above post, I just got out of a Japanese final so my brain is still turning back over to accommodate the use of English.

I think you should run a begginers course for all those for whom english is not their primary language (or native english speakers who are really lacking in education :)) and an advanced class for more, for want of a better word advanced grammar?
 
I can honestly say I'm not too into the spelling section. My spelling isn't horrible, I just have trouble with the larger words :)
I'd like it if the words were kept at an age-friendly level, considering there is a variation in age. I wouldn't want to be going up against someone in college :o

**Basically what Tee Hee Hee said, maybe we could have different difficulty levels? (If your amazing you can move up?)
 
I like the tiers, I guess we could run it like stations run by several people.
I'll keep that in mind.

My C.V. for grammar includes studying latin and english to a pretty advanced level at Eton College in the UK no less; so in short I'd be happy to help. Any action of mine that helps to improve the general efficacy of the spoken word amongst our servers would be met with a tumultous sense of self worth on behalf of myself :)

I usually have a rough time with forming sentences and using commas where it is just me taking a pause in my typing to think. It would be beneficial to me if I could learn how to make proper sentences and punctuation marks.

I guess it's my fault for making the title irrelevant...
 
I think a quick workshop on they're their and there, its vs it's and other such homonyms would be very useful for many people?
 
the only thing im concerned with is how this will affect my rank and fbg
they are minor things but attending an event where ill lose points isnt something im looking forward to
other then that im all for it
my thing would be typeing fast in a short amount of time, for instance when you need to use all talk and stuff
 
To deal with the stats thing, I was thinking it would be held on a jail map or one that isn't FBG approved.
