New Events?

hey guys,

i was thinking when i saw the event calender for DoD:S and wow nothings happening. i was thinking if any of you great thinkers had any ideas? i used to play css sometime ago and we can clan wars and training. i dont know if you guys used to do it or still do?

i know that theres the bazooka event and the royal rumble but how about a battle royale??? (yes i got tht from wrestling ). where we fill the server and the last man standing wins or men who are on the same team. if u die, ur out and of course there could be some rounds so that the event isnt over in 30 secs. its just an idea.

we always seem to have events...kalt assaults, admin abuse nights, I think there is a bazooka event, and also a sniper event as well...maybe more...

More events are in the works. Angreifen and I have been working on getting some more going. Most events last around an hour or so.

Current Events that occur weekly:

Tuesday Nights @ 8pm PST, 9pm MST, 10pm CST, 11pm EST: Admin Abuse Night. You'd have to come and enjoy the fun. Usually played on a map that isn't one of our 24/7 maps.

Thursday Nights @ 7pm PST, 8pm MST, 9pm CST, 10pm EST: Eagle Eye Event or Panzerschreck/Bazooka Event. Either a sniper/rifleman event played on Strand aka Charlie (it can be different if so desired) or the rocket event on some map.

Sunday Nights @ 5:00 pm PST, 6:00 pm MST, 7:00 pm CST, 8:00 pm EST: Kalt Assault. Played on our 24/7 Kalt server with Support and Assault classes only.

Possible events that we have shot around that may happen:

Melee Mondays --> Melee only event that would be 10 minutes of punching, then 10 of shovels/knives, 10 min. of both, and then finish off with a half hour of regular game play. Something like that.

Heavy Weapons Event --> Rocket/MG event. Pretty self-explanatory.

MG Event --> Thought of having a rambo only event, but would need a lot of cooperation from players, which is why I like the heavy weapons event better to eliminate those who refuse to rambo.

Royal Rumble --> for those of you who have played TF2 in the Royal Rumble or heard of it, this would be very similar

DoD 1.3 Road Trips --> Pretty self-explanatory. We would make a venture to a current DoD 1.3 server and invade it.

Assassin Event --> Not really a one night event, but one that would occur over several weeks. More info on this later in the summer if it occurs.

Having rank vs. rank events (also potential Dog Tag events) are definitely possible, as well as a battle royale. If any one here has ideas for an event, feel free to shoot me a pm about it. There is no guarantee that I can do all requests, but I'll be happy to take suggestions to get what you all want. And by no means it my list here complete or guaranteed on occurring. We just need interest in events, and we'll try to hold them.

If you haven't joined the DoD:S eGO Steam group, I would highly suggest it because we submit announcements through that for events that are going to occur in case you forget about them.

well 47 all i can say is.... bring it on! we got some pretty good e's as well. i think counterstriker is an e too. you dont wanna challenge him when he got a springfield in his hand.. ^^
plus ive been practicing my rocket skills (im especially good at the banzai rockets( in other words: suicide bombers )).

it could be nice if we have a 1-2 events in the weekend. (friday and saturday) so us from europe can come in and play.

there have been a couple events i wanted to get in on (such as admin abuse night)...but didnt have vent...ill definately be gettin in on these events now though...downloaded and set up vent last night while i couldnt sleep...
