Today i was installing a V8 and a new SATA DVD drive into my machine. I unplugged the PSU, than removed the old heatsink and used thermal paste removal solution on the processor. I installed the V8 with some issues, the X bracket wouldn't go on properly and i applied a little pressure to try and get it to mount right, to find a small piece to be poking up to hinder its install. So i drilled a hole into the X bracket and completed installation. I than installed the SATA DVD drive with no problem. I turned on the computer only to find that the computer would turn on to a black screen. At first i thought it was my video cards reinstalling because i had removed one, i listened for about five minutes for the Windows start up noise, no sound. All the fans and the hard drive would run and the mother board light was on, the CPU light would illuminate solid for about five seconds and than go off and stay off. Thinking it was not enough power going to the computer i unplugged the heatsink fan and tried again, with the same result. Looking for some help!

Computer specs:
Intel Core2 Duo e8400
MSI P6N Diamond Motherboard
Western Digital 320GB HD
Apevia 680w PSU
Coolermaster V8
3x CD DVD drives (1 SATA, 2 ATA)
2x 9600GT 512MB in SLI

The issue was resolved, unset everything and placed them back into place.
