Key Bindings and Medic!

[ST0RMY]

Hey everyone! I realized that alot of the people on our servers dont know about our medic system and i thought i would clear it up and help you all out with the most useful keybind i can think of.

In our servers if you have 24 or fewer Health Points you can use the medic to heal yourself. You are entitled to 2 medics per life and all you need to do is type in "medic" (without the quotes) in the chat! But if your lazy like me it is easier to just key bind like this.

Follow these easy steps:

1. Enable the developer console (you will need this for any key binds!!!)

Main menu>options>advanced>enable console

2. Press the tilde key ( ~ ) to open the console, it is right above esc on the left side of your key baord.

3. In the console type this: bind "key" "say medic"

(where it says key put whatever key you want to use, make sure that it is not devoted to anything else!)

4. Your ready to get injured!

You can also do taunts the same way exept youll have to change what is in the second set of parenthesis for example:

>>>> bind "key" "say oops did Goomba get you?"

Please feel free to add useful key binds to this thread, or maybe share the ones that you use.

Does this work if you do it in Team Chat?

Cause I've seen some ppl use it in tournament play and they get in trouble for using all chat.

Im not sure but you could always try typing it in!The bind will be different, sorry but i dont know how to bind things on the team chat.

It works if you use say_team

However I've noticed while using say_team that it automatically makes you use the Voice Medic.

So I just use bind 'key' voice_medic

Accomplishes the same thing, with less chat spam.

I was smart and thought of this already. But thanks for telling everyone else!
