Different Photoshop Effects

I am in need of some training on new photoshop effects for signatures. Obviously I have the grungy effect down, I really want to learn how to do all of the cartoon type effects that I see in TF2 signatures. Also I wanted to learn how to do the rounded off corners of signatures. That has always appealed to me. So if anyone out there could assist me on learning this stuff it would be much appreciated

well i dont really have any effect there are many but i just watch youbtube videos and take some effects from each video and merge them together

Im not very good with PS but I really enjoy using it. I reccommend you check this site out: http://www.photoshopessentials.com/ Alot of cool effects and stuff.

for the rounded corners just make a selection and click refine selection in the toolbar and there is a slider for rounding corners than after you set that use the slelection to crop the image and mayby add a stroke to the selection

but really the best way is to just mess around with all of the tools and get a good feel for the affect they produce and there parameters and once you got a good feel for it all you can pretty much make up and kinda affect you want.

and there is usually like 20 different way of doing the same thing. like just for a simple thing like adding bloom i know of 12 different ways of doing it that will yield slightly different results.
