Trust me Rogue, if you plan on playing anything online, do not get satellite internet. You are guaranteed a minimum delay of at least 1250ms which, obviously, is useless for online gaming.

Not to mention the fact that most satellite ISPs have ludicrous bandwidth restrictions. When I had Direcway, if I downloaded more than like 120MB in 4 hours, they cut me down to dial-up speeds or just disconnected me for a few hours.

Actually now WildBlue and HughesNet have a limit of 10gb a month or more, and latency is down to 400+ depending on where the satelite is and distance to reciever

and for a few minutes (~10) latency is low (~250) so tho the ping may be worse i could actually watch movies, listen to music, download mods and betas, become part of the modern age and then eventually the techonology age and never go back to the stone age

im almost tempted but because theres a contract, i dont want to get it and hispeed come in and screw me over...

some of the info/stats is from people in my town that have wildblue but i havent seen it to believe it
