Jeez those are huge, Do you plan on shattering your windows due to sound? JK, anyway those look pretty nice, id snag em.

Yamaha makes good stuff, for a good price. You might want to also check out Polk Audio or Athena Technologies, they also make some good speakers for the money.

Want great speakers? Check out http://nhthifi.com/current/index1.html

My dad bought a pair of NHT 2.1 loudspeakers around 15 years ago and they still out-power most sound systems nowadays. He spent a little under $10,000 for the whole system including a Sunfire Amplifier made by Bob Carver and a CD changer. The amplifier puts out 250W per channel, which is pretty nice for a 15 year old system.

Btw, NHT's is such a great audio company name...Now Hear This! LOL! :D

well first off i want cheap speakers and only floorstanding speakers so...

Haha, I was just looking at the NHT website and they work with Mark Knopfler! Lead singer and guitarist of the Dire Straits! :)

For the price, I'd say go with the Polks you linked. A friend has a set of Polks and they sound great, excellent value there for sure.
