My resolution changes everytime i start up my PC. it goes from 1680 x 1050 to a really low one.

every time

i updated my GFX card drivers but thats all i can think of... any help?

My computers been doing this to me too lately, if anyone knows whats wrong...
Help us out

wow are you serious?! same here bro. We all have nvidia cards i suppose and it seems that the new drivers makes it do that. I also run at 1680X1050. But recently it hasn't been doing that for me. A plus for me. the 185 and 186 drivers do that kind of stuff. Dont worry its fine and kinda not. Its annoying T.T

There should be a way to fix it but since it stopped doing that I haven't been searching.

ive known this problem to occur on xp, but it could carry over to vista.

If you guys have any sort of email or IM client that autostarts when you start up, try disabling their abilities to auto start and see if that does not fix the issue.

I think its probably bad drivers or bad driver installs though.

i had that problem for a while on my machine but it sent away, i have an ati card though so idk what the problem was. id run a virus scan in safe mode just to be safe.

first try to roll back the driver, if that doesnt work uninstall it restart your comp and reinstall it

it might also be beneficial to install your display drivers for your monitor, im not talking about video card drivers.

personall that never happend to me ever but you could try doing system registry fix since that fixes boot problems so might help that.

gotta be corrupted driver files or bad install. did you run Driver Cleaner Pro after uninstalling your old drivers? If not, try it:
after you uninstall your old drivers, reboot in safe mode, run DCP, then reboot normally. when Windows tells you that it has found new hardware and asks if it's okay to install the drivers for it, click "CANCEL".
install the drivers yourself using the setup.exe that came with them. reboot and see if the prob is fixed.
