For that, you should be getting a quad core or triple core.

But if the mobo allows you to unlock the other cores you should be fine.

Not all CPU's are able to enable other cores. CPU's that can enable other cores are just good samples that only has 2 cores activated because of the demand for them. there are also bad samples which has 2 cores disabled because of the other 1/2 are not working. You sometimes get lucky but not always. So the higher the demand the more good samples there will be.
