Quoted from IRC earlier today when i was talking

[22:27:31] <+blizbiggy> So..
[22:27:35] <+blizbiggy> i get this monitor from work
[22:27:52] <+blizbiggy> the problem with it is there is a lock that keeps appearing on the screen
[22:28:06] <+blizbiggy> and it happens to be right in the middle so you cant really see what you are doing
[22:28:19] <+blizbiggy> so i order a new display board
[22:28:22] <+blizbiggy> 20 bucks
[22:28:36] <+blizbiggy> i put it in just a few moments ago
[22:28:38] <+blizbiggy> turn it on
[22:28:42] <+blizbiggy> monitor works fine
[22:28:45] <+blizbiggy> for a moment...
[22:28:49] <+blizbiggy> then the lock appears again
[22:29:13] <+blizbiggy> it happens that the push buttons went bad for the menu
[22:29:16] <+blizbiggy> Lol
[22:29:50] <+blizbiggy> i snipped the menu wire off of the small board where the button is located and the monitor works fine
[22:30:02] seaNNN [[email protected]] has joined #edgegamers
[22:30:02] ChanServ [[email protected]] has set mode +v seaNNN
[22:30:37] <+blizbiggy> so moral of the story... check the simple things before comming to conclusions
[22:30:49] <+blizbiggy> i could have saved 20 bucks
[22:30:49] <+blizbiggy> lol

If anyone happens to need a Genesis gm2121 Display Board for a 17" dell E172Fpb... I happen to have one for... 20 bucks Lol

Nice. Could you help me with my problems?

You'd have to do more than snip a wire to fix mine...
