Does anyone know if a ATI Mobility Radeon HD4650 1GB GDDR3 will be able to play CS:S fairly well? I may be getting a laptop that has that graphics card in it stock. If that card can play CSS decently then ill be happy.

Yes, that card will play CS:S well, it will more depend on the CPU though, as the Source engine games rely more heavily on CPU than GPU.
Its actually funny you mention that card, I just got back to my computer after assembling a different one using the desktop version of that card :P

Yeah my friend has that on his lappy and I can run cod in medium gfx pretty nice akshualy

I can post the full specs of the laptop if it would help you out a bit Red Flag. Its just my mom has the laptop I may be getting and it only cost her about 600 and it seems to be pretty good for games but im not sure. If you want me to post the full specs Red just tell me and Ill get them up here. Hopefully everything in this laptop has what it takes to run CS:S at good framerates without me having to kill my graphics. Im a person that almost goes crazy if I dont have a little bit of eye candy in my games.

Yeah, sure. Just post up the specs and I could give you a pretty good estimate of how well it could run CS:S

that computer will play css pretty good. i have not a laptop but. on my own computer i run 2.40 x 3 GHZ 4 GB Ram and a older ATI card is run css on high in all the settings.:) and also dods and tf2.:)

Im on my moms laptop which is the same as the one that I plan on getting so im going to get on CS:S and see what happens. Ill return with results

Ok i just tried it but i ran into a major problem. Steam came up with an alert saying your graphics card isnt in our database. And after it says Preparing to launch Counter Strike Source it goes to a black screen and stays there. Im not sure what to do or why this is happening.
