Hey guys, i know there have been multiple of you guys who have asked me about "Skins that increase performance.".
I have these skins currently installed and they have given me a good FPS increase which inspired my change from CS:S to TF2. And if the people that i linked to the skins have installed them, you may notice that the new weapons are considerably shinier than the other weapons, players and buildings.
This is because of a little thing called "phong".

Look at the screenshots there and you will see the difference between phong and no phong.
Its basically the shine you see on the weapons and whatnot.
So the point of this post is for anyone who has the phong-less skins installed and wants the phong off of the new engy weapons.
I went in VTFedit and looked around in the files where i found the Valve material file for both the Frontier Justice and the Wrangler and I have successfully figured out how to remove the phong off of them thus keeping the increased FPS.
You can either post here or PM me and I can maybe upload them to FPSBanana or some other quick file sharing website and instruct you on how to install them.
