theres nothing u can do to fix your ping. U can move closer to the server, I dunno what ping does, but i don't seem to have any props with them. my ping is almost constant 165

Yeah basically ping in layman's terms. 1000 ping equals ~1 second of delay. So say you click your mouse while your ping is 1000. It'll take ~1 second for it to shoot.
Most people who are use to low pings can't play with anything over 150 without being mad. Like me I can't handle over 90 ping.
Like Mutsakman said, if you download or have a virus scan run, it can slow you down and actually increase your ping. Also having other people online in your house can slow you down. Even if you have IP tv like I do it can slow you down just a little bit.

Well with our CSS, TF2, DoDs, even INS I get 15-50 ping depending on which server and what time of day I play. CoD4 I avg 50-60 with a min of about 45 if I'm lucky
Also time of day you play is important. Since school is out. Pings should be amazing through out the day. You might have a peak time between 5pm-8pm roughly. But when school is in session usually it's not so bad till after school get's out till about 9-10pm depending on if there is a college around you or not.

You guys should really stop complaining about ping. I live in europe and have a very good internet connection (1gbit). and get around 100-140 ping when playing on the eGO servers. Sure I wish I could get less and it would probably make me get a lot more kills and yes I sometimes get killed 1 second after I run around a corner.. But it does not effect that much, you can still be top scoring in your team but yes, it is harder.
