Possible Suggestion

I was wondering if it would be possible to increase the number of magazines for pistols, and the rocket secondaries on eGO servers. I've seen other servers do this, and even the pistols in realism have more magazines (I think it's 6). I can't really think of a reason why not, but if you can feel free to post one. Thanks.

I support, but not the rocket. The rocket should rely on his team to give him ammo, making the game a more team oriented game and not just a deathmatch.
 
Unfortunately most people on public servers don't know how to press 'h'. Nevertheless I find whenever I run out of rocket ammo, I have to ditch the rocket for another gun instead of using my secondary until I get more, as I'm almost out of ammo. I just find it's not sufficient. That, and when someone drops you ammo, it never refills pistol or secondary ammo, which sucks even more. I can keep getting rocket ammo from my teamates, but eventually I run out of secondary ammo and there is nothing I can do about it. Hard to defend yourself then.
 
I have run out of secondary ammo - hit an ammo pile for 6 ammo boxes and regained ammo for the secondary weapon.... I believe it takes alot of ammo cans to do it, but it is possible.
 
Haha...I would hate for someone to have 6 clips of the c96 and the m1 carbine...Those guns are overpowered as is =(

agreed, they have enough firepower already and the bazooka/shreck should always be the primary role of the rocket class
 
I would think not, its just the way the game was meant to be - if we did that then next someone would want more nades, etc - if anything I'd suggest another rocket class selection instead on just 1 - we have 2 for sniper and mg...
 
I think it would be nice to have a couple more clips for the pistols, for the classes that have the pistol as a secondary, mainly for the snipers though........

Except for the few that seem to be able to no-scope at will, it would really help them to defend themselves.

I disagree that the m1 carbine and m712 are overpowered. One is weak with no recoil, and the other has no range. Seeing as how there is only 1 rocket per team allowed anyway, I doubt that adding extra magazines would make a huge difference.

The c96 is more dangerous than the Thompson or Mp40 at close range, e.g. the wheelhouse in Kalt. More magazines would make it ridiculous, same with the carbine. They don't have any ammo because they are niche weapons, just like pistols, and it should stay that way.

As for pistols, it is possible to increase magazines with sourcemod plugins, but consider that we already give every single class a pistol, classes that, by default, shouldn't have one which is rifles and support. A further departure from vanilla dods disinterests me. You're asking us to post why we shouldn't have more magazines, my question is why should we? Nobody else has really brought this up, you don't see many folks complaining about a lack of pistol ammo, and after every engine update that breaks pistol mod everybody is just pleased to have it back at all, 2 mags or not

The c96 and m1 carbine are probably two of the best weapons in the game if not the best. You add more clips to those two guns and trust me, there will be a substantial difference.
