You know, you're more likely to get an infection which leads to your computer becoming part of a botnet by clicking on the Advertisements that are on common sites like Facebook and Myspace than by downloading torrents.
This all falls under common sense. Run antivirus and watch what you click on and download.
Don't start spreading false information that all the sudden torrents are the biggest cause of malware/viruses.
Also, your information on what exactly DDoS is, is completely wrong. Distributed Denial of Service is a type of attack that is commonly launched by large botnets, which are groups of infected computers. There are many ways a DDoS attack can take place, but common ones are pings of death, syn floods, and trying to load a page off a web server that doesn't exist.
Please stop passing around false information. There are already threads posted which help people who aren't sure what software to run on their systems to keep them safe. There is no need to go and get everyone hysterical over something that isn't even close to being as dangerous as what you're making it out to be.
