Hello,
I recently plugged my external hard drive into my front usb port, and nothing came up (it was previously working when it was plugged into the back USB port). So, I plugged it back into the back usb port, and it doesn't show up.
I'm pretty sure this is because I recently opened up my case and unplugged my front usb from the mobo, and when I re-plugged it back in I wasn't looking and plugged it into the wrong slot (i think it said something like IDE, but it didnt say USB). I realized this AFTER I plugged in my hard drive to the front. So I opened my case, and sure enough, it wasn't plugged into USB, so I plugged it into USB and fixed that problem. But, whenever I plug my hard drive into any computer (mac, pc, have tried multiple) it does not recognize it. I hear the hard drive running, and it doesnt make any clicking noises or anything, its running like it always has. It uses USB ports, and doesnt have any e sata. Nothing shows up in the bios, disc management, or the device mananger.
Any help would be appreciated. I really need some of the data that was on this hard drive.
