New application of a type of glass is coming to your HDTV, and other devices. Looks interesting.

Gorilla Glass, also known by the less-exciting "Chemcor" name, is a protective window that can be used in a variety of high-end display devices including cell phones, laptop and tablet computers, and mobile devices. It is available in thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm up to 2.0mm.

Yes, but it has not had a mass market use yet so its just coming into the light now.

Same goes for fiber optics, which the same company also invented.

Yea, i can read. I doubt they had LCD TVs and laptops 50 years ago, unless you know otherwise. :glare:
