Well you won't find a gaming headset, gaming keyboard, and a gaming mouse for $140.

But for the headset I'd recommend the Razer Carcharias

http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.169415800

I've been using it forever, and it hasn't broken, the mic quality is very clear, and it doesn't hurt my ears and my head like other headsets have. The sound quality is also very nice, with in-headphone bass boosting, and it is easy to tell which direction enemies are coming from when playing games.

For the keyboard I'd go with a razer keyboard that you like, as they seem to be the best brand (They have cheaper ones for your $140 budget

Here is Razer's cheapest gaming keyboard for $45

For the mouse, I have been using the Logitech G5, and it is a very nice mouse. Has 3 types of sensitivity (dpi) settings, which you can use based on what you are doing. You can also take out weights or add more weights. Has 2 side buttons that are customizable in game. Although, they don't sell this mouse anymore. So I would recommend the

It is an upgraded version of the G5. The scroll wheel is very nice, and has a button for very fast scrolling, or normal scrolling. It has 10 buttons total, with 3 dpi settings just like the g5.

Total price would be
$80 + $45 + $60 = $185

Sorry, it's not $140.

My friend had the fatal1ty headset, he really liked it. However, he had like 4 of them because they kept breaking on him. But the sound quality and mic quality was nice.
I buy Plantronics headsets, I rage all over my equipment and they've all held up beautifully. I don't even have a headset from their gaming series, I bought this little gem and I've been pwning noobs for over a year now.

I had that fatality headset as well. Was great till it ripped apart. Still got the carrying bag though, it's really nice.

You could just spend the $140 on a really nice headset or really nice keyboard, or really nice mouse but not all together.

If you don't need the parts now, I would just buy 1 of them with the money so you have 1 piece of quality hardware then save up to get something else.

Getting all 3 of those together are probably going to be low quality, and not as durable.

If anything, skimp on your keyboard. You don't need a fancy "gaming" keyboard that lights up and bakes you cookies, just find a $15 you like with keys that feel nice under your fingers. The mouse is probably the most important piece you're going to buy, and the headset trails behind that considerably. You don't need to go all out on a headset, either. I got all my gaming peripherals for about 100 bucks, 50 for the mouse (Logitech G5 with weight system) 30 for the headset (see the plantronics above) and 15 bucks on a crummy keyboard with nice keys and a couple multi-media buttons. I don't go to LANs anymore, no need to impress someone with your glitzy and over-priced keyboard. If you can push W, A, S, and D, well, what else do you need?

Actually, I'd say the headset matters more than anything. Going from a cheaper headset to one that's in 7.1 surround sound is -amazing-. Your music, games, everything sounds so much clearer/better.

ok for 25 bucks it sounds reasonable, because when i rage i do tend to throw my headset on my desk :facewall:

about the keyboard this is true its just the one im useing now i can only push 2 buttons at a time, anymore makes nothing register

and my mouse works fine its just twitches a lot >.>, so i guess thats not fine, but it reads/moves fine both buttons work, wheel and what not also works, the its only got 3 buttons...

edit below this
