Xbox - PS3

FNewGuy

I made one post
Hey guys I got my PS3 a couple of weeks ago and I need to fill my friend list up so add me.

PSN - FaqueOpaque

This brings me onto my next topic.

Do you think PC is better than both consoles and why ?
Just a little topic I started in my old community and it got alot of positive feedback.

Heres my reason.
PC online is free (except for pay-monthly games)
Is amazingly better for ping and lagg issues such things like CoD4 (dedi servers)
The Graphics are so much better (if you can afford the gear)
And last but not least the community is better cause you can get really clans like eGO. And you dont have to spend a fortune on games that you do with PS3 and Xbox

:) :chair:

I don't think any are better than the other. They all have their own unique problems and benefits, like controls, peripherals, games, etc. Certain aspects are better than others, but none reigns supreme above all.

However, it does cost substantially more than console gaming, and your PC may not always work with every game

Not if you've paid for for 7 years of xbox live like I have.. that's 350 dollars just for live on top of the both the original xbox and the 360 cost.

even if it is about pc, i think this is still relative to what beta said

Console wars - When an argument spawns from discussing gaming consoles.

There have been too many threads on "PS3 vs Xbox 360" or any other type of console and it becomes a flame war most of the time. If you want to do research on consoles, there are many sites that already gathered the information for you.

Bottom line, NOT ALLOWED.

When it comes to console wars, well.......let me line it up for you.

PC: When it comes to flexibility, PC has got it. With a wide selection of operating systems and parts to choose from, unfortunately this is a good thing and a bad thing, leaving some users behind in the dust when a new expensive (damn near required) piece of hardware comes out.

PC also leads the way in large communities, with forums, IRC, and Ventrillo to talk to your friends and such cross-game.

Xbox: Xbox takes the helm at the largest selection of titles for their console, unfortunately this leaves little room for quality control. Making a large portion of that selection being mediocre at best, leaving mostly XB staples to drive it on home (Halo, Raresoft Games, Call Of Duty, etc).

Xbox also has arguably the easiest and smoothest Internet community. Mind you its not very flexible or suited to larger communities, but XBL allows you to quickly connect to a game with players of your skill level (or not if you so choose) through its matchmaking system.

PS3: PS3 (im an owner) has the the a much larger percentage of great games then Xbox does (less total games however) with MGS, Killzone, Uncharted, Littlebigplanet, God of War, the list goes on...Anyway, I digress.

Playstation however falls to the bottom of pleasurable experiences when it comes to online capabilities, leaving the publishers of the game to set up and manage their own games online sect. This usually leads to a cluster signups/profiles that you HAVE to fill out before your able to play a game online (Metal Gear Online is an example) and slow and unstable connections. Some games simplify it well enough that it isn't so frustrating (battlefield, red dead redemption) and feels similar to XBL.

The playstations redeeming quality however is its Blu Ray player and its media center. Making a pleasurable experience for media viewing of any kind.

So the bottom line is they're all good in their own respects.
