Der Soldier stellt sich vor

I heard that the "Meet the Heavy" video had some differences in Russian than in other languages, so I got curious and started watching the "meet the team" videos in German (since I also speak some German).

At the end with the "unless it's a farm!" bit, it shows a spring coming out of the severed head instead of some bone. I was wondering, does the head that falls belong to the medic?

Also, I was curious, are there any Russian speakers that know what the differences are in "Meet the Heavy" between Russian/English?

The only other significant differences I noticed between the German/English ones was that the voice acting is significantly better in English. :glare:

The spring is there because the German version of the game is censored, so they replace stuff with gears/springs etc to portray them as killing robots not humans.

you can have a fps with blood but it depends on who your shooting at and a lot of other things. if your shooting at zombies its no problem. itll prolly be for adults. if your shooting at humans things are getting more complicated etc. i dont know how exactly things work but shooting humans is always difficult.

for example: in the airport mission in cod4 your not allowed to shoot a single person and if you do the mission failed. i dont know how it is in versions in other countries but thats how it is in germany.

i think you mean modernwarfare 2 but yeah in america you can walk through and shoot every civilian if you want to

Idk i find it weird how some countries have such weird video game laws and i know a lot of world war II video games were banned in Germany like in the 80's and 90's like wolfenstein because they had Nazi Symbols in it...but i believe they have lightened up on the nazi stuff?

Fun Fact:
the Pokemon series video games are illegal to sale in Saudi Arabia because they somehow believe it portrays witch craft or something like that...and C&C Generals is illegal to sell in China because a Sacred Chinese Landmark is destroyed in the terrorist campaign against the Chinese

Mir haben die Deutschen Versionen gefallen.

I grew up in Germany and enjoyed the German versions a lot.

To get back to the OP's Question...

I wish I knew enough to actually interpret what they're saying, but my knowledge of Russian (while I DO have some) is quite limited. However, you're right; the voice acting is about a million times better. Perhaps because they have an actual Russian guy speaking for the heavy, instead of an English guy pretending to be Russian? :p
