Hey guys idk if this is in the write place but I am very interested in mapping because it looks very interesting. I would love to take a shot at it but I have not one clue on what to use or how to use it.. Does any kind feller wanna help me? Or lead me to some help? It would be greatly appreciated

Hey. Well glad to see your interested in mapping.
I can help you start off.
Here is the correct place to post all stuff related to mapping:http://www.edgegamers.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=678
Now you will find a sticky with websites that will help you get started. You will have to download Source SDK first. It's in the Tools section on steam. I don't think I should write down everything you have to do. So just go check out the mappers section and Youtube Videos. They'be helped me heaps.

The best way to learn (In my opinion) is to just play around in Hammer until you get to know it. If you have any problems, Google, Youtube, FPSBanana or another mapper probably knows the answer. Also, I'd like to give you link to some vids I've enjoyed and learned from.
