8 golden wrenches destroyed.

At the end of this month 8 golden wrenches are going to be destroyed. I know there was a post about 1 being destroyed. But it looks as if 7 other wrench holders are joining the cause. More info here.

I would like to say, I think this was a really nice thing these people did.
but I do have a feeling they'll be rewarded in some kind of way. I don't know why. I just think it'll happen.

Yea maybe so. I dont care if anyone comes in here crying repost. Because technically this isnt a repost. Its a reiteration of previous news. Last time we heard it was 1 guy, now its 8.

Im glad they are doing this, im sure they got plenty of hate and spam mail because they got the wrench. And that may have been part of why they are doing it. I know if it were me in their shoes, i would do the same exact thing.

I do hope we see more people throw that horrible item away for the better.

Valve tried to make a rare item, but only led to those people getting flamed and banned from some servers.

The way I see it, the 8 people throwing their wrenches away are the heroes. While the ones keeping it, seem a bit selfish for not doing so. Either that or they dont know about the cause.

Meh, well if they know even if they dont really play TF2, they are still selfish. Instead of thinking "Oh, I dont play TF2 that much anyways, might as well give it up for a good cause."

I dont care if they play it that much or not, its not that hard to log into the game for 30m minutes at most and destroy it for charity.

i dont think of them as being selfish, they got THE rarest item in tf2, with only 100 made and only 100 will be made. community weapons and up may be rarer, but you get that for doing something. this was by chance. I would keep it, i would show it off and all that, but does keeping a rare item you found 100% legit make you selfish? nope.

I personally think it would be hilarious if they were rewarded for doing this with either, a. all the hats they wanted or b. a Valve weapon (Valve Rocket Launcher, Valve Revolver, etc.)
