tbh this is pretty cool i thought, visiting the actual places that made it on cod4 and seeing how they really looked... pretty cool tbh,
basicly they take shots from the actual game, then the guy has visited there in real life....
For example how the pool looked back in the day and how it is now, its pretty sad :/ i beleive it changed due to a radiation exposure which 600,000 people suffered from..

I dont really find this that amazing, COD has always been a locationally accurate game, ever stop to think that maybe this was video taken by Infinity Ward to recreate the location but leaked by GamerTruth?

And if its such a dangerous and radioactive area why is the person inside filming it?

I assumed it was research footage. And I don't believe it is radioactive anymore. Some areas do seem to be locked off though. It was just really interesting. I've always enjoyed seeing inspiration etc. of locations and environments in games.

They had truckloads of rad-away with them.

yeah seems legit radiation dosent stay forever...

I have a physics teacher who's been to chernobyl and he showed us his pictures. he's been to the amusement park where you fend off the russians and extract with the chopper. pretty amazing how they get these thing so accurate.

Radiation DOES stay. The video is kinda sad, loved the music though.
It's "Carbon Based Lifeforms - Frog" if anyone is interested.

I think it's quite cool that they made it accurate. Props to infinity ward. It's unfortunate that event happened though :(

The radiation is still there but it is safe to go in for a few hours at a time. I still wouldn't want to go in though.

It will still be around another 600 years before its completely safe even then i wouldnt trust it.

Heres another video which i found even creepier.

I don't see what is so amazing about this. Some places from real life got put in a game, wooo. Lots of games have recreated real places.

Is it because people have never heard of Chernobyl before Call of Duty 4?

Its amazing because of what happened here, and I think your missing the point... yes everyone knows games recreate real places but that doesn't mean every game has something as tragic as this... the detail in-game is amazing almost looks as if your really there its kind of scary

And whats wrong if people haven't heard of Chernobyl before ? Not every person knows everything about history..

Something is very wrong if you haven't heard of Chernobyl before, one of the biggest nuclear disasters ever. Ever heard the saying that history is doomed to repeat itself if we do not learn from it? Every person should know about Chernobyl, it is kinda a big deal.

Again missing the point, maybe some people haven't learned about this yet, a lot of people here are young and then you have to remember the people like myself that just wasn't a school person(I wont get into my youth), although I knew about Chernobyl..

that looks like the place where that nuclear reactor blew up in the 80's I think maybe long before that but it's safe to walk into now it's not as dangerous but it still has a very small dose of radio activeness in certain places it was but it was in the Ukraine I remember seeing something on it on the Military Channel
