Blackmesa is moving!

Yes, that's right, after a year at his current home Steve will soon be moving to a new home on a new server. So, tell your family. Tell your friends. Tell your friend's friends. Tell your local video store clerk. We want to make sure that everybody is able to find Blackmesa at its new home. So when the move happens, everybody be sure to head out to Blackmesa and give Steve a big old hug.

We are making this move to lighten the load on an overtaxed box and hopefully improve gameplay for everyone across all TF2 servers. Blackmesa will still be in Dallas, so don't freak out, please.

Questions, comments, and meaningless chatter may be posted in this thread.

Just a thought, Scrap: might be useful to change the name of the old server to say 'moving' and the new ip after it. Last I checked it wasn't there, and not only would it help old players add the new ip before they just clicked through the MOTD, but it would also help us members figure out which is which in the server menu to avoid playing on the old one.

Yes, please do that. On my list i actually had 2 BM's and didn't know which was the new one.

Affirmative, and also, I agree with Dread, not only because many skip through the MotD Quickly, but there are those of us (like me) who still have an issue where they crash if the MotD gets displayed so we have it disabled.
