By now, the sharp eyed among you may have noticed that I'm wearing a different division tag. I have made the very difficult decision to transfer to the EVE division.
For those of you whose acquaintance I haven't had the pleasure of making, I offer a little bit about myself: I joined eGO in February of 2008. I had given up online game for a few years due to simply being fed up by the number of jerks typically found in online games. But, being a heavy TFC addict back in the early 2000's, I couldn't resist the opportunity to play TF2. So, I built a new machine, began playing, and stumbled on eGO's servers simply because they had a good ping to me. Imagine my delight, once I started playing here, to find a group of servers that didn't put up with the usual BS found on most gaming servers. So, after some repeated encouragement from a member, I joined up. Since that time, TF2 has been my home away from home. Or perhaps, that should be my home while I'm at home...
In the past 2+ years, I've been heavily active in the community, first as an admin trainer, then as an advisor, and now for the past year as a Division Leader. I'd like to think that I may have had a bit of a hand in shaping TF2 into the division that it is today. I'll let you guys decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
However, for the past couple of months, I've slowly come to the decision that I'm ready for new challenges. So, I've decided to move over to the other eGO division that I frequent: EVE Online. It's a newer division that's still growing, and that presents it's own challenges and it's own level of excitement for me. I still plan to play TF2, but I am releasing my hold on the reigns of leadership for the division, and leaving that task in the more than capable hands of TF2's current leadership.
Speaking of whom, I'd like to leave my former fellow TF2 leaders with a bit of a gift: the gift of being hunted like wild animals. I currently have $357,751 casino cash in my wallet. And I have no plans to use it myself. Instead, I'd like to give it to you guys. Well, not just give it, per se. You'll have to work for it. Dominate a TF2 adivsor, and I'll pay you $10,000. Dominate trykael or ScrappyDoo, and I'll pay you $20,000. Dominate A Nurse From Texas, and I'll pay you $50,000. And I'll keep paying out bounties until my wallet is empty. Simply post the screen shot in this thread, and I'll pay up as soon as I see it.
Since I'm no longer around to make them miserable, I'm going to rely on the rest of you to do it for me.
Oh yeah, and so long TF2. I'm not leaving eGO, just transferring divisions so it's not really a "good bye" so much as a "see you around"! To all my friends in TF2, I'll miss you guys. I truly will. I guess I'll still have to jump in and play from time to time to visit all of you.
Take care and happy hunting!
