So I have been putting off buying a new gaming headset for a while now. Mainly because I have had no reason to get one after quitting WoW. My previous headset are the "Sennheiser PC 151 Stereo Gaming Headset" which I am still using atm but only the mic and they are falling apart. You could say that I am sorta an audiophile, I use Sennheiser HD555s @ work and Audio-Technica ATH-CKS70 Dynamic Solid Bass In-Ear Headphones with my mp3 player (Zune HD)

So anways I was lookin at a few to get and was lookin for some suggestions

A few I have in mind. $150 budget

Sennheiser PC350 Gaming Headset - $121.36

Logitech G35 7.1-Channel Surround Sound Headset - $96.99

Razer Megalodon 7.1 Surround Sound USB Gaming Headset - $126.84

I've never really used USB headsets

sennheiser is more for music. Not really gaming. I would go for the g35. (cauz i used to had it :p). razer probably be good. And comfortable. But my choice is the logitech. I asume u have a keyboard and mouse from logitech? If thats the case i would defenatly for the g35.

id suggest getting the Warcraft headset

noise canceling, has a microphone, wireless and like 120 bucks

you can remove the horde/alliance logos and just have a blank headset if youre not into wow

I have read a few reviews on that headset that says the mic has quality issues:confused1:

I have a plantronics Gamecomm 777. The earphones are big, and I prefer so. They don't sit on my ears, so I can game for a while without my ears hurting. I have a pretty big head (I wear 7 3/8 hats) and I have read reviews about it hurting peoples heads because of the pressure, but I have had no issues. The mic works great and sounds amazing to me. I got the headset 30% off to from frys and its been a good purchase ever since :D

If the main focus is for gaming, go for the logitech g35s. I own them and love them. The 7.1 surround sound is awesome for games/movies along with great sound quality.

i have the g35 and its awesome. the sound quality is amazing. the mic seams to be great to. constantly hearing foot steps behind you makes you a little jumpy in bc2 though

Turtle Beach Earforce X41
they're 7.1 surround sound, and are one of if not the best wireless headset ever. They work on the computer, and if you have an xbox, that too. they're 200 bucks but if you throw in the extra 50 im sure they will be worth it. Best $200 I have ever spent.

Ugh, wireless keyboards/mice/headsets usually turn out to be a pain for a multitude of reasons.

I also have the logitech g35. The sound quality is absolutely amazing.
I'd say the next step up from the g35 would be a real expensive set of headphones like audiotechica ad-700's or sennheiser HD 555's with a really nice soundcard like a HT OMEGA striker or any of the ASUS XONAR cards.
So yeah, definitely go for the g35 unless you already have a really good sound card. Plus the g35 has voice changing capabilities.

I agree with the first reply, Umm I would say go for The Logitech G35s, not Razer Megaladon because I heard it breaks easily.

1. I've got a g35 and it's just plain awesome. Definitely has helped my numbers in BC2 and tags aren't given up so easily since I got it.

2. The day the g930(wireless version) is available I plan on getting it and if you're will to wait I'll make you a deal on my 1 month old set.

I have the HD 555s (If ya didnt read my first post)

Also I leaning towards the g930(wireless version of g35)

thx for all the suggestions guys:)

whatever you do, do not go for the plantronics 377. I managed to snap them just by putting them on my head. They seem to be made of very flimsy plastic. The microphone wasn't too great either. On the pluses they had quite good sound quality and were pretty isolating and comfortable.

Fatality Headset? They always looked good to me. I don't have a mic though.

I'm running with the g35 it has great sound and for the price I would say it's worth it. I have read some less than favorable reviews of the megalodon.

Hmmm is $60 more worth it for wireless? Has 10hrs of supposed Batt time, but can also be used when plugged in for charging...
